Maternity Fashion Trends – A sneak peek at what’s to come this AW13

Our recent A13 styled photoshoot gives an edgy look to maternity fashion. A firm believer that you need not lose your personal style during pregnancy, we mixed and matched key pieces of our upcoming collection with accessories and jewellery to create chic maternity looks.

We don’t want to spoil what’s to come, but we couldn’t help but share a few behind the scenes images! Taking place in a studio in London, our beautiful model was styled by Cecile, who created looks ranging from Parisian chic to evening elegance.

With gorgeous accessories supplied by Alva London, the final images were some of our favourites yet!

When Cecile Met Heidi

Seraphine founder and creative director Cecile Reinaud met with Heidi Murkoff, author of the world’s best-selling pregnancy and parenting series, What to Expect, that began with the book What to Expect When You’re Expecting (written when she was pregnant with her first child!) to celebrate the launch of their new site What To Expect UK.

Not able to find the answers to all the questions she faced, Heidi Murkoff conceived the idea for What To Expect When You’re Expecting during her first pregnancy. With the aim to write a guide that would help other expectant parents sleep better at night, Heidi delivered the book proposal hours before delivering her daughter Emma! Emma is now a new mother herself and Seraphine’s number one fan. With a maternity wardrobe made up exclusively of Seraphine clothes, find out how here love for the brand begin here.

Over 20 years later, the What To Expect brand has grown tremendously and Heidi is now also the founder of the What To Expect Foundation, as well as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2011.

The book has also been turned into an incredibly entertaining film featuring the likes of Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Elizabeth Banks.

Spring has sprung at Séraphine

We know it’s been a freezing and snowy winter, but that hasn’t stopped us from preparing your spring maternity wardrobe!

This season to showcase our new season designs, the Séraphine team packed their bags and headed to the sunny sea side of Cote d’Azur. The perfect setting for a collection inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean sea and it’s sandy beaches. The Séraphine team was delighted to be hosted by the Grand–Hôtel du Cap–Ferrat for our photoshoot. The five star palace is located in the heart of the Cote d’Azur in St Jean Cap Ferrat and the magnificent building boasts a 17 acre garden and infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

The stunning location was perfect for our palette of corals and cobalt blue hues. Bright tones are stealing the show for our dresses and we also give a pop of colour to our denim collection and signature tops. Séraphine is renowned for our quality knitwear and this season’s classic waterfall shapes are made in luxury linen warns for the perfect summer cover-up. For our range of signature maxi dress and skirts, adored by Hollywood celebrities, we have picked contrasting prints with a bohemian vibe that suits the pregnant shape so well. Our swimwear range gets a twist with our multi-way swimsuits and seventies babydoll styles, inspired by French style icon Brigitte Bardot.
