The Duchess Wears Seraphine for Her First Event with Meghan

This week Meghan Markle joined Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their first official engagement as a team of four – The Royal Foundation Forum. We were thrilled to see The Duchess wearing her favourite Seraphine maternity dress for such a historic occasion.

The theme of the first Royal Foundation Forum was ‘Making a Difference Together’, which perfectly sums up the mission of the organisation.

The Royal Foundation was set up by the two Princes back in 2009. It serves as the charitable vehicle through which the young royals support their various causes – from wildlife conservation to the armed forces, young people, mental health and more.

The Duchess of Cambridge joined them after her wedding in 2011, and Meghan will officially become a patron later this spring, after her marriage to Prince Harry.

This week, the Royals brought together all the organisations they work with through their foundation to set out their visions for the future.

The Duchess in particular, highlighted her on-going commitment to tackling mental health issues through every stage of life, starting in childhood.

This dress is a favourite of The Duchess. She also wore it back in January to launch the Heads Together initiative, Mentally Healthy Schools.

The Duchess of Cambridge Tackles Mental Health in Seraphine Maternity

This week The Duchess of Cambridge was out promoting positive messages surrounding mental health issues in children, babies and new mothers.

As a mother of two currently expecting her third baby, The Duchess is the perfect advocate for this cause, and we couldn’t be prouder to have dressed her as she spread such a vital message.

The Duchess Launches Mentally Healthy Schools

On Tuesday the Duchess visited Roe Green Junior School in North West London to launch the fantastic new Heads Together initiative – Mentally Healthy Schools.

The project entails a brand new website with free resources for teachers and school staff, aimed at helping them to support and promote pupils’ mental health and wellbeing.

The Duchess Visits Maternal Health Clinics in London

On Wednesday, The Duchess continued her amazing awareness-raising work by visiting two London clinics specialising in maternal mental health.

At King’s College, she visited the Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute to learn about their pioneering research and new approaches to perinatal mental health.

Then in the afternoon, she travelled to the Royal Bethlem Hospital to meet with patients and clinicians at the NHS mother and baby unit there.

For these visits, the Duchess teamed our Natasha Cashmere Blend Maternity Coat with our Florrie Printed Woven Maternity Dress – a style she also wore earlier this month for her visit to Reach Academy in Feltham.

As a maternity brand, issues surrounding the mental health of mothers and babies are very close to our hearts. We are thrilled to see the vital work the Heads Together foundation is undertaking to end the stigma and open up conversations about mental health at every stage of life.
