The Swedish Princesses and Seraphine: A Love Story

The Swedish Princesses are well known for their style and poise, and here at Seraphine, we are honoured to be their maternity brand of choice through pregnancy.

Princess Madeleine

Princess Madeleine is currently expecting her third baby, and appeared this week at the prestigious Nobel Prize presentation ceremony in Stockholm, wearing a bespoke Seraphine gown.

The spectacular one of a kind gown in mauve silk and hand-beaded gold lace was made to measure in London by our team of talented in-house tailors, and the Princess simply glowed in it.

Princess Madeleine was also a fan of Seraphine maternity clothes throughout her previous pregnancy. She paired one of our stunning lace maternity dresses with a matching occasion coat for a ceremony to bless her brother, Prince Carl Philip’s marriage. And she also wore our Black Cropped Maternity Jacket for an audience with the Pope in Rome.

And of course, Princess Madeleine isn’t the only fan of Seraphine amongst the Swedish royals. When her elder sister, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, was expecting Prince Oscar, she chose a Seraphine maternity dress to greet Nobel Prize winners at a reception at the palace.

Princess Sofia, renowned for her fashion choices, chose an entire Seraphine outfit to meet with UN ambassadors at the royal palace in Stockholm. She teamed our Navy Pleated Maternity Dress with our Ivory Cropped Peplum Jacket, completing the look with a stylish tie belt at the empire waist.

It is always a pleasure to see royalty looking stunning in Seraphine maternity clothes, and the Swedish Princesses never fail to impress.

Meet the Maternity Dress Every Princess Wants to Wear

What do The Duchess of Cambridge, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Princess Sofia of Sweden all have in common? … Aside from being Princesses of course … the answer is the Seraphine Pleated Maternity Dress!

Princess Sofia of Sweden is the latest royal to fall for our elegant pleated dress, joining her sister-in-law Crown Princess Victoria, and The Duchess of Cambridge. We are thrilled that our navy dress has such a glamorous royal fan club, and it is wonderful to see how each Princess has styled the dress to suit her own personal look.

Princess Sofia

Princess Sofia, who is renowned for her fashionable looks, teamed the navy maternity dress with our Ivory Cropped Peplum Jacket for a meeting with UN ambassadors. She defined her empire waist with a smart self-tie belt and the overall contrast of navy and white brought a fresh touch to the trendy combo.

This isn’t the only Seraphine style that Sofia loves, she also wore our Striped Stretch Cotton Maternity Shirt to meet with business leaders earlier this month.

Crown Princess Victoria

Crown Princess Victoria let the dress do all the talking, adding just a clutch, a stylish pair of navy court shoes and some statement earrings as she welcomed Nobel Peace Prize winners to the royal palace in Stockholm.

Victoria, who welcomed her second child Prince Oscar earlier this month was a fan of Seraphine maternity wear throughout her pregnancy, commissioning several bespoke outfits for special occasions and choosing a selection of our Luxe Maternity Dresses for official royal engagements. She particularly loved our Bubble Print Maternity Dress, which she wore several times throughout her 9 months.

The Duchess of Cambridge

The Duchess of Cambridge kept the dress under wraps when she wore it for a royal engagement last winter while expecting Princess Charlotte. She displayed her signature style and grace, pairing it with a long dress coat and heels. Of course the Duchess has a well known preference for Seraphine maternity clothes; she looked stunning in our Fuchsia Knot Front Maternity Dress in the first official pictures with Prince George, and favoured our maternity coats while expecting Princess Charlotte.

It is always wonderful when royals favour Seraphine maternity clothes, but to have three Princesses all choose the same dress is a huge honour.
