After extensive testing by a panel of experts, as well as a public vote open to all the stylish Absolutely Mama readers, our maternity clothes came out on top & we couldn’t be prouder.
The judges loved the fusion of fashion and function in our range and were also impressed by the scope of our collection.
We offer options for every occasion, from classic maternity dresses & jeans to everyday basics, smart maternity workwear and glamorous evening options for special occasions – everything a stylish expectant mama needs for her nine months.
Of course, Seraphine is no stranger to winning awards – we won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2015 and have been named several times in The Times’ Fast Track 100 list.
Absolutely Mama is the UK’s leading lifestyle & parenting magazine, providing real-life stories as well as fashion and lifestyle tips for both mamas & little ones.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy was without a doubt one of our highlights of 2018. She looked stylish as ever throughout and chose several Seraphine maternity dresses for official royal occasions while expecting Prince Louis.
She looked elegant in our Marlene Maternity Cocktail Dress to meet with the Norwegian King & Queen, and chose our Tailored Maternity Dress for the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum – her first official engagement with Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex.
This year also saw Pippa Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister welcoming her little boy Arthur.
Pippa was also a fan of Seraphine, wearing several of our summer dresses through the heatwave, moving onto our maternity jumpers once the weather cooled down.
Holly Branson is expecting her third baby early next year and has consistently chosen Seraphine for special occasions.
From the Global Gift Gala to the royal wedding of Princess Eugenie to Jack Brooksbank, this month she even chose a Seraphine maternity blouse to interview former First Lady Michelle Obama!

Balancing motherhood with her busy professional schedule as well as evenings out at glamorous industry events, she needs a maternity wardrobe that works as hard as she does.
Chrissie’s Maternity Workwear Picks
“This is a typical work outfit – it’s my go-to. You absolutely can’t go wrong with tailored black trousers and a nice white shirt, pregnant or not. I am going to literally live in this outfit now for the next month.”
“These are my absolute go-to dresses for party season. You can go straight from the office to a Christmas party – and it helps that the Duchess of Cambridge wore them during her pregnancy!”
“This is a great weekend outfit. This jumper is my absolute favourite! What i love is the fact that you can slightly customise it, so you can wear it open and it’s perfect for nursing after you’ve had the baby or just generally for a weekend look.”
Looking for Christmas baby names? The holiday season is in full swing & if your little one is due to make an appearance in the next few weeks, you may be feeling inspired by the festive fun!
This beautiful French name actually means ‘Christmas’. Also spelt Noel for a boy – what could be better for a Christmas baby!
Holly
Holly is one of those traditional nature names that is enjoying a resurgence recently.
Conjuring up images of rich green foliage, bright red berries & festive winter scenes, it’s always a popular choice for December babies here in the UK.
Holly’s ultra-feminine & ever so slightly quirky sister, Ivy is another beautiful botanical name that’s perfect for December babies.
Beyoncé & Jay Z chose it for their eldest, Blue Ivy, and well, if it’s good enough for Queen Bey…
Clara
Smart & stylish with plenty of vintage appeal, Clara comes from Latin origins meaning clear and bright – perfect for evoking those crisp December nights.
Clara is also the name of the little girl in The Nutcracker – the ultimate festive ballet.
A popular Hebrew name meaning ‘God is my Strength’, in Christian tradition Gabriel is the name of the archangel who kicked off the Christmas story by heralding the news of Jesus’ birth.
He also appears in Jewish & Muslim texts, presiding over heaven & serving as the angel of mercy, life, joy, judgement, truth & dreams – a lot to live up to for a new little one!
Nicholas
A good strong name with a regal ring to it, Nicholas is an ever-popular choice – especially at this time of year.
After all, what better December namesake than jolly old St Nick himself!
This weekend we were delighted to see Holly Branson wearing Seraphine to interview the inspirational Michelle Obama.
Watch the Full Interview
The two inspiring women & mothers sat down to talk about Michelle’s new bestselling book – Becoming.
Watch the full interview to see their discussions about parenting styles, fertility struggles, life as a working mother and the importance of strong female role models.
In Becoming, Michelle shares the story of her journey. From growing up on the South side of Chicago, to her years as an executive balancing work & motherhood, to life at the White House.
With Holly, Michelle opens up about what inspired her to tell her story and what it was like to write such an intensely personal & honest memoir.
Holly chose our Semi Sheer Black Maternity Blouse for the occasion, teaming it with a pair of tailored black trousers & a matching blazer. It’s the perfect look for a professional event or smart evening occasion.
Mum of 3-year-old twins Etta & Artie, Holly is expecting her third baby early next year. She has always relied on Seraphine for special occasions while pregnant.
Back in November, she wore a stunning silk maternity gown from our Luxe Collection to attend the Global Gift Gala in London along with Eva Longoria, Victoria Beckham and Princess Beatrice of York.
Stunning actress & country singer Jana Kramer is the latest celeb to be spotted in Seraphine – she was absolutely glowing this week in two of our classic little black maternity dresses.
Earlier in the week, she wore our signature black shift dress to speak at an event about the power of listening.
This little shift dress is a real celebrity favorite – Gwen Stefani wore it several times while pregnant with her youngest, and supermodels Coco Rocha & Doutzen Kroes also loved it when they were expecting.
We love Jana’s look & wish her all the best for the last few weeks of pregnancy!
Have you met the new additions to our Skin to Skin collection?
We’ve added 3 gorgeous new skin to skin tops to our range, all designed to allow you & your newborn to enjoy the benefits of skin to skin time, hands-free!
“Skin to skin has important functions for parent and baby throughout baby’s first year and beyond.” – The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust
The benefits of skin to skin contact or ‘kangaroo care’ for both mother and baby are very well documented – from regulation of temperature, breathing & heartbeat to increased oxytocin levels & milk production to simple comfort & bonding.
This is what inspired us here at Seraphine to develop this new post-maternity essential.
Meet our New Skin to Skin Tops
Perfect for receiving visitors at the hospital and the first months at home with baby, the Skin to Skin Top is available in a ¾ sleeve version as well as our 3 new sleeveless styles in black, blue & grey.
After placing the baby inside the top against your skin, long wrap ties cross over & secure the little one in place.
Made in soft stretch cotton, it is gentle on both mum & baby’s skin, while providing the perfect level of structure & support.
This leaves your hands free while sitting – allowing you to enjoy maximum cuddle time without restricting your movements – you could get into a good book, catch up with your emails or it could even be something as simple as enjoying a quick snack & a drink.
The Skin to skin top keeps your hands free while seated, but it is important to note that it is not a baby carrier or sling, so you should always keep hold of baby while standing or moving around.
Our autumn winter collection has landed mamas! With colder weather on the way, now is the perfect time for a bit of outfit planning.

Placenta encapsulation is a pregnancy trend that has been steadily gaining in popularity in recent years. A-list celebrities are doing it, and many mums who have tried it simply rave about the benefits!
But with little to no scientific evidence behind the practice, many doctors remain sceptical. Here at Seraphine, we are by no means medical specialists, but we thought we’d do a bit of digging to see what we could find out.
Placenta Encapsulation is a process which allows your placenta (the temporary organ that provides baby with nutrients in the womb) to be transformed into easy-to-take pills.
You can hire a specialist to do this for you. They will usually pick it up from the hospital, take it away for processing and deliver the pills back to you within just a few days.
While it may sound like a weird celebrity craze, it is in fact not a new idea – the placenta has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
Your placenta contains a unique blend of nutrients & hormones. It’s iron-rich, completely natural and absolutely bespoke to you – made by your body, for you and your baby.
Of course, it’s very important to stress that there is no scientific research to support the above claims. All evidence is purely anecdotal and comes directly from mums who have tried it.
Many doctors are sceptical about the practice as the industry is unregulated, and some even recommend against it.
If this is an option you choose to investigate, it’s vital that you talk to your doctor first, and make sure to work with a well-established, reputable encapsulation specialist.
Many celebrity mums have opened up about their positive experiences with placenta encapsulation, including actresses January Jones and Alicia Silverstone, Kim & Kourtney Kardashian and The Big Bang Theory star & neuroscientist Mayim Bialik.
It’s worth doing a little research to find out what options are available to you locally. And of course, always discuss any decisions relating to your birth plan with your doctor or midwife.
Here at Seraphine, we love to work with real pregnant models – there’s nothing quite like watching our beautiful mamas’ families blossom and grow before our eyes.
This season we are thrilled to once again be working with one of our favourite models Zabeena, who recently welcomed baby number three!
Zabeena Road Tests our Latest Collection with her Girls
We have been working together with Zabeena for almost 10 years now – she has modelled for us while expecting all three of her gorgeous daughters, 8-year-old Amelia, 4-year-old Isis & her latest addition – gorgeous newborn Gabriella.
We caught up with her after our latest photoshoot together, once she’d had time to road test a few of the styles, and she shared her favourite looks from our new collection.
“I breastfed both of my older two & knew I wanted to do the same this time around if I could.
This dress looked so cute with the bump, even up to the last weeks and the nursing access is nice & easy to use – I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favourites this Autumn!”
