Bespoke Maternity Fashion, Fit for the Crown Princess

Here at Seraphine we are delighted to have dressed Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden!

The Princess looked stunning as she attended the Christening of her beautiful baby nephew Prince Nicolas, wearing a bespoke Seraphine maternity outfit created especially for the occasion.

Princess Victoria commissioned this stunning outfit personally for the happy royal occasion, having admired our bespoke designs for her sister Princess Madeleine and for the Duchess of Cambridge. We are always delighted to create bespoke pieces for royal clients; Seraphine founder Cecile Reinaud refined the exclusive bespoke design herself, which was then created by our talented team of in-house tailors.

The Princess’ outfit included a striking maternity dress in Seraphine purple, which she accessorised with a smart pillbox hat by top London Milliner, and favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge, Philip Treacy.

The Crown Princess was a picture of elegance on the day, and looked stunning accompanied by her dashing husband and their beautiful little daughter, Princess Estelle.

Victoria isn’t the only Princess we’ve had the pleasure of creating bespoke maternity styles for. Her younger sister Princess Madeleine loved our outerwear collection; she chose our Cropped Peplum Maternity Jacket for her audience with the Pope in Rome, and donned our Blush Wool and Cashmere Maternity Coat to celebrate her father King Carl Gustav’s birthday. She later commissioned a bespoke Seraphine maternity coat to attend a special service before her brother, Prince Carl Philip’s wedding.

And of course The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in a bespoke Seraphine maternity coat on arrival in New York when the Royal couple paid their famed first official visit to the United States.

With Princesses Victoria and Madeleine of Sweden and British royals Zara Phillips and the Duchess of Cambridge all opting for Seraphine maternity clothes through pregnancy, it’s safe to say that Seraphine is a right royal favourite.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor Rocks Seraphine: Balloons, Obama & Madonna’s Bra

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has done it again! A firm fan of Seraphine, this week Sophie posted some stunning pics to Instagram, having fun at Madame Tussauds rocking one of our stylish maternity dresses.

Sophie chose our Circle Print Maternity Dress to film her brand new documentary, getting up close and personal with the waxworks at Madame Tussauds! The UKTV documentary about celebrities and social media looks to be a lot of fun – she posted a selfie with YouTube sensation Zoella, laughed with President Obama and even tweaked Madonna’s infamous Vogue bra!

And earlier in the week she was spotted wearing the same dress, posing with a Baymax balloon at a Big Hero 6 themed birthday party. It is definitely her under there (we promise!) and, novelty balloon aside, the dress & Black Knitted Maternity Cape combo looked ultra-chic!

And this isn’t the first time Sophie has rocked it out in Seraphine… This week she’s helping us to launch our brand new charity campaign with Tommys – More details here. And our maternity dresses are perfect for her classic retro vibe.

She wore both our Black and White Polka Dot Maternity Dress and our Black Zip Detail Maternity Dress to red carpet events earlier this year, and loved our Woven Printed Maternity Dress on holiday in Nice with a cool pair of cat eye sunglasses.

Behind the scenes look at our Marylebone maternity boutique press day

The latest addition to the Seraphine family – our brand new Marylebone maternity boutique – opened its doors to the lovely ladies of the press this week!

The new store played host to a glamorous press event complete with tea and Danish pastries, where we were delighted to welcome representatives from all over media land including Hello! Magazine editor – Rosie Nixon (who has guest blogged for us in the past), You Magazine‘s Victoria Woodall, Liz Skone James from Fabric Magazine, Baby London‘s Jessica Way, Sarah LaFarge from Mother and Baby, and TV presenter and i-Village journalist Kirsty McCabe.

Hello! Magazine and Glamour.com editors sparkle in Seraphine!

Two of the most glamorous women in fashion and lifestyle journalism sparkled in Seraphine at the British Society of Magazine Editors Awards this week!

The ceremony was held in the opulent Grand Ballroom at the London Hilton Hotel, and naturally the luxurious surroundings and glitzy occasion called for a pair of very glamorous maternity cocktail dresses!

Here at Seraphine, we stock a wide range of maternity dresses, from simple shift day dresses, through to lavish maternity cocktail dresses and evening gowns in our LUXE collection.

Glamourmagazine.com editor Natasha McNamara was nominated for the Consumer Web Editor of the Year Award, and looked stunning in our Black Lace and Sapphire Maternity Cocktail Dress.

The glamorous maternity cocktail dress (pictured left) is made with exquisite black stretch lace, laid over a vibrant sapphire blue dress in silky soft stretch jersey, and tied at the empire line with a black sash in pure silk. Natasha styled the striking maternity dress perfectly with some black maternity tights and a pair of simple gold pendants.

Hello! Magazine editor Rosie Nixon (who has guest blogged for us in the past) was nominated for the Women’s Brand of the Year Award, looked incredibly chic in our edgy Navy Shoulder Lace Maternity Shift Dress.

This flattering navy shift dress is stylishly ruched at the sides, and swathes the shoulders in intricate floral black lace to achieve a stunning contrast.

This gorgeous navy blue maternity cocktail dress was a great choice for Rosie, as it worked so well with her skin tone and glossy blonde hair.

Maternity Fashion Trends – A sneak peek at what’s to come this AW13

Our recent A13 styled photoshoot gives an edgy look to maternity fashion. A firm believer that you need not lose your personal style during pregnancy, we mixed and matched key pieces of our upcoming collection with accessories and jewellery to create chic maternity looks.

We don’t want to spoil what’s to come, but we couldn’t help but share a few behind the scenes images! Taking place in a studio in London, our beautiful model was styled by Cecile, who created looks ranging from Parisian chic to evening elegance.

With gorgeous accessories supplied by Alva London, the final images were some of our favourites yet!
