Seraphine Takes Asia: Live TV, Mandopop & Maternity Dresses

Here at Seraphine we pride ourselves on making maternity clothes that are loved by some of the most glamorous mamas on the planet. From Hollywood A-listers to British royalty, we’ve dressed women from all over the world, and this week we were thrilled to see two stylish Asian celebrities working it in Seraphine!

Chinese Mandopop singer He Jie posted these gorgeous pictures to her Chinese Twitter account, looking super cute in our Geo Print Maternity Wrap Dress. She balanced the chic monochrome style with a pop of colour, pairing it with a statement red hand bag and posing in front of a colourful vertical garden.

Meanwhile over in Japan, national news reader Takako Zenba has been styling it out in Seraphine maternity dresses live on TV. Like He Jie, Takako is a fan of the Geo Print Dress, and also looked super stylish in the Bubble Print Maternity Dress. She opted for a more classic look, styling the dresses with simple maternity camisoles and delicate silver jewellery.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Karolina Kurkova are Stunning in Seraphine

Here at Seraphine, we are known for dressing some of the most glamorous women in the public eye through their pregnancies. And last week we were delighted to see not one but two stylish celebrity mamas-to-be rocking Seraphine maternity clothes… Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and super model Karolina Kurkova!

Last Monday, Murder on the Dance Floor singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor attended the star-studded UKTV live launch at the Phillips Gallery looking stunning in one of our little black maternity dresses. She styled our Zip Detail Maternity Dress with glamorous red nails and a statement silver watch, finishing the look with a pair of classic black flats. The stylish mother of three, married to The Feeling bassist Richard Jones, is expecting her newest arrival latest this year; with immaculate makeup and a feminine half-up, half-down hairstyle, she ruled the red carpet!

Sophie is a fan of Seraphine maternity dresses… Last month, she attended a high profile London theatre premier in our Black & White Polka Dot Maternity Dress, and before that she made a glamorous appearance at the launch party of our brand new Kensington High Street maternity store wearing one of our LUXE maternity dresses. And just this week she was spotted looking uber-glamorous in Nice wearing our Woven Printed Maternity Dress with a pair of retro cat eye shades.

Then on Friday one of the hottest women on the planet, super model Karolina Kurkova was spotted out and about in New York sporting a casual chic ensemble including a pair of Seraphine cropped maternity leggings! The fashionable mum of one is expecting her second baby in the New Year, and rocked our leggings while enjoying a bit of down time between shows at New York Fashion Week. The stunning Czech model styled her maternity leggings with a long white tee, clean white sneakers and a stylish leather jacket, and accessorised with a chic white hat and shoulder bag.

Karolina created the perfect casual city chic style, and she isn’t the first super model to fall for our ultra-comfy maternity leggings… Doutzen Kroes rocked our Grey Bamboo Active Maternity Leggings for pre-natal ballet lessons while expecting her daughter Myllena Mae, and before that Claudia Schiffer loved our Black Seamless Maternity Leggings for everyday style during her third pregnancy.

Rosie Nixon is the editor of HELLO! Magazine and one of the most stylish women in the media today. As the figure head of one of the UK’s most popular fashion, lifestyle and celebrity magazines, Rosie has a glamorous image to maintain both in and outside of the office.

Expecting her second baby later this year (a little brother for 18 month old Heath), Rosie has been a fan of Seraphine maternity clothes throughout both of her pregnancies. She stopped by our flagship maternity store on High Street Kensington recently to share a few of her favourite styles from the AW15 collection.

Fashion Mamas Love the Denim Swing Maternity Dress

Transitioning between late summer and early autumn can be a tricky business, but these stylish fashion mamas have found the answer… it’s the Denim Maternity Swing Dress!

Fabulous Miami-based fashion blogger Kat Buccio featured the dress on her style blog Freshly Squeezed Fashionista, styling the look with a pair of comfy leopard sneakers, a panama hat and an adorable dinosaur necklace. She couldn’t get enough of the comfy fit, raving:

“Seraphine Maternity makes the most picture-perfect denim dress that I will definitely keep using after I give birth. I love the flowy skirt and the empire cut. It’s comfortable and easy to wear, especially when you’re nine months pregnant!”

And she’s not the only one to fall for the transitional charms of this denim dress – Kansas City-based photographer and real fashion mama Sarah Sweeney rocked a retro 70’s inspired look on her blog Becoming Motherful, styling the dress with a cute tassel shoulder bag, shades and a pair of statement fringed heels. We are in love with this look and she is in love with the dress.

And it’s not just the fashion bloggers who are getting in on the denim action. High society beauty Chloe, the eldest of the fashionable Delevingne sisters, is expecting her second baby later this year. She rocked the Denim Swing Maternity Dress when she attended the launch party of our Kensington maternity store’s brand new location on Kensington High Street, keeping the look simple with long flowing hair, a simple necklace and shades.

Zooey Deschanel debuts her New Girl in a Seraphine Nursing Dress!

New mum Zooey Deschanel stepped out looking stunning in a Seraphine maternity & nursing dress this week!

The newly married New Girl star went out for lunch near her home in Austin, Texas with husband Jacob Pechenik, who seems to be enjoying his new role as daddy, carrying their adorable baby daughter in her car seat. Zooey looked fantastic in our Black & Pink Maternity & Nursing Dress, which skimmed her trim post-baby body perfectly, cinching in at the empire line to make the most of her figure. It’s always exciting to see expectant stars wearing Seraphine, but it’s somehow even more special when they carry on rocking maternity clothes after the birth!

It’s great to see the new mum out and about and looking so fantastic just weeks after the birth. Though we must admit, we wish we could have seen her wedding dress!

A Royal Invitation: When Seraphine Founder Cecile met the Queen

Here at Seraphine we love the Royal Family. So we are thrilled and deeply honoured to share with you, that this week Seraphine founder Cecile Reinaud was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet The Queen and Prince Philip.

The invitation was extended by royal decree in celebration of Seraphine’s acceptance of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2015.

This is a prize that has been awarded in recognition of our outstanding achievements in international trade over the past 3 years. We are proud to ship our stylish maternity clothes internationally to over 30 countries, and to work with distributors worldwide including big names such as Nordstrom and A Pea in the Pod. In the past 2 years alone we have launched our flagship US maternity store in SoHo NYC, and another one on Madison Avenue, with exciting plans for more on the horizon… watch this space.

The winners of the Queen’s Awards are chosen and presented by Her Majesty The Queen herself, based on recommendations from the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee, as well as a panel of industry experts, so it really is a great privilege to be chosen.

Spotted at London Fashion Week: The Trend Report

Designers, celebs, super models & fashionistas from all corners of the globe descended on the UK this week, ready for London Fashion Week 2015! The great British weather did its thing & rained on everybody’s parade, but no amount of rain could put a damper on the incredible style and creative spirit on show.

At such a huge gathering of fashion expertise, trend setters and stylistas, you can be pretty sure of finding Seraphine maternity clothes somewhere in the mix. And it didn’t take us long to spot glamorous model Alice Skewis looking chic in a pair of our Premium Under Bump Maternity Skinny jeans. Alice has modeled for Seraphine in the past and we love her style!

Here at Seraphine we’ve been busy spotting the biggest trends both on and off the catwalks, and are now ready to share our full fashion week trend report. These are the must-have looks that were strutting down the catwalks, sparkling on celebs in the front row, and dominating the street style in the fashion capital this week.

Taking inspiration from fashion decades past; the designers were loving retro geometric patterns this week. In particular we loved Temperly London’s bold geometric prints, and Jonathan Saunders’ colourful pop art inspired patterns. And of course the street stylistas didn’t disappoint, offering everything from exotic mosaic styles to sharp geometric looks.

Faux fur in every conceivable colour & combination was big news this week. Hannah Weiland’s brand new British faux fur fashion label Shrimps was the brand behind last season’s most coveted coats; and this season she presented her first full fashion collection. Not only that, but Shrimps’ fun-loving faux fur coats ruled London’s street style – with two of Britain’s leading trend setters Alexa Chung & Pixie Geldoff rocking matching leopard print Shrimps coats!

We were obsessed in New York, and the fascination for fashion polo necks has continued into London. Polo necks are having a definite fashion moment right now, with almost every single designer featuring at least one elegant roll neck in their London show. And the celebs and street style fashion moguls were right there with them – at the Top Shop Unique show alone we spotted Alexa Chung, Cara Delevigne, Ellie Goulding & Paloma Faith all sporting stylish polo necks!
