Seraphine Founder Cecile was reviewing the Seraphine archives recently, when she discovered these little gems from the early days of the company taken by Imagethirst photographers…. Meet Florian, Cecile’s youngest son.

These days he’s a strapping 6 year old, but when Florian was a baby he was Seraphine’s first ever baby wear model!

And much more than just an adorable face, Florian was also the inspiration behind one of Seraphine’s first ever printed T-shirts – the Letter Tee. It displays a poem that Cecile wrote for him shortly after his birth – a mother’s message to her beautiful new baby, expressing her hopes, dreams and promises for his future.

What do Tamsin Egerton and The Duchess of Cambridge have in common? It’s a little black Seraphine maternity dress of course!

 

British beauty Tamsin Egerton was spotted this week rocking our best-selling little black dress, at the Baccarat / Hotels 1 Dinner. Overlooking the Thames at luxury London venue One Horse Guards, Tamsin rubbed shoulders with the great and the good, looking ultra-chic in our Black Roll Neck Vanessa Dress. She styled the dress simply with long flowing hair, a chic shoulder bag and a pair of classic black heels.

This isn’t the first time that Tamsin has styled it out in Seraphine maternity clothes.  Last week, she attended a private viewing at the London Frieze Festival wearing a pair of our maternity jeans! London Fashion Week: Vogue, WilliamVintage & Seraphine

This week we saw a serious influx of style as designers, models and fashionistas from all corners of the globe flocked to the capital for London Fashion Week! Based at the brand new venues in and around Soho (right by the Seraphine head office!), the capital played host to some of the most stylish people on the planet.

One such stylista was British model and Vogue presenter Jade Parfitt, who we spotted rocking one of our new season maternity dresses as she dashed between fashion shows, and another was singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor who was stunning in one of our LUXE maternity gowns at the WilliamVintage Dinner!

 

 

Jade styled our Cerise Dot Maternity Dress with a long line black blazer, delicate silver necklace and a cute embellished clutch; completing the perfect pregnancy look with a pair of smart winkle-pickers – ideal for a full day of fashion shows.

 

 

Sophie made a show-stopping entrance at the annual WilliamVintage Dinner in our Navy Silk & Lace Maternity Evening Gown! Hosted by The Vintage King himself William Banks-Blaney, the WilliamVintage Dinner brings together luminaries from the fields of fashion, film & music to celebrate the legacy of haute couture fashion. Styled in silk and lace, Sophie looked right at home among the classic vintage gowns.

And last week we were delighted to see not one but two stylish celebrity mamas-to-be rocking Seraphine maternity clothes… Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and super model Karolina Kurkova!

Last Monday, Murder on the Dance Floor singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor attended the star-studded UKTV live launch at the Phillips Gallery looking stunning in one of our little black maternity dresses. She styled our Zip Detail Maternity Dress with glamorous red nails and a statement silver watch, finishing the look with a pair of classic black flats. The stylish mother of three, married to The Feeling bassist Richard Jones, is expecting her newest arrival latest this year; with immaculate makeup and a feminine half-up, half-down hairstyle, she ruled the red carpet!

 

 

Sophie is a fan of Seraphine maternity dresses… Last month, she attended a high profile London theatre premier in our Black & White Polka Dot Maternity Dress, and before that she made a glamorous appearance at the launch party of our brand new Kensington High Street maternity store wearing one of our LUXE maternity dresses. Then on Friday one of the hottest women on the planet, super model Karolina Kurkova was spotted out and about in New York sporting a casual chic ensemble including a pair of Seraphine cropped maternity leggings! The fashionable mum of one is expecting her second baby in the New Year, and rocked our leggings while enjoying a bit of down time between shows at New York Fashion Week. The stunning Czech model styled her maternity leggings with a long white tee, clean white sneakers and a stylish leather jacket, and accessorised with a chic white hat and shoulder bag.

 

 

Karolina created the perfect casual city chic style, and she isn’t the first super model to fall for our ultra-comfy maternity leggings… Doutzen Kroes rocked our Grey Bamboo Active Maternity Leggings for pre-natal ballet lessons while expecting her daughter Myllena Mae, and before that Claudia Schiffer loved our Black Seamless Maternity Leggings for everyday style during her third pregnancy.

 

 

Stylish Editor Victoria Newton Talks Maternity Clothes & Work Wear

Editor of The Sun on Sunday, Victoria Newton is an award winning journalist with years of experience breaking some of the hottest and most shocking celebrity scandals of the day. A career woman currently expecting her first baby, Victoria talks all about finding the perfect maternity clothes for the office.

 

 

From the exciting moment I discovered I was expecting a baby, I started to worry about finding stylish clothes to wear to work every day.

 

Maternity clothes were not something I had ever taken any notice of before, and I had no idea how poor most of the offerings on the high street were. I regularly moaned to friends about the vast oversized tent-like dresses on offer in most departments stores, which even my grandmother wouldn’t be seen dead in.

So I was delighted to finally discover Seraphine’s extensive range of classy looking maternity dresses for work – and more importantly their staple range of basics that every pregnant woman needs.

 

 

I’ve been living in a pair of smart black, over the bump maternity trousers that dress up really well for work with a smart shirt, or equally on a weekend with a t shirt. I don’t know what I’d do without them because they’re so comfortable, they really have been a life saver.

 

 

The various types of maternity jeans on offer also cater for every taste if you’re a skinny girl or a regular bootcut, and i tend to find unlike some others i bought from another store – they actually stay up rather than falling down over the bump all the time.

 

 

I’m now looking forward to trying out the range of nursing tops and lingerie the shop has to offer for the next stage of my journey.

 

 

Tennis Champ Anne Keothavong Talks Pregnancy Style & Fitness

Anne Keothavong is a former British tennis champion, and is currently expecting her first baby with husband Andrew. She has spent the last couple of weeks avidly following the action at Wimbledon from the commentators box, and we have been delighted to see her styling it out in Seraphine maternity dresses live on screen!

 

1. Can you describe your style in 3 words?

Feminine, classic, comfortable.

 

2. Where do you find fashion inspiration?

From other women and fashion magazines.

3. How are you adapting your style for pregnancy?

I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find anything stylish to accommodate my growing bump but then I discovered Seraphine maternity clothes and I’ve found I can still look good and feel comfortable at the same time.

 

4. We’ve loved seeing your style on the live Wimbledon coverage. How are you managing to style your bump for live TV?

Fortunately, I haven’t found it too difficult. The Seraphine maternity dresses have been great – the more simple I can keep my look, the better as I need to focus on all the action and keep waffling away!

My mother told me that a lot of people will give you advice whether you ask for it or not, but do what is best for you.

The first scan. It was the first time my husband and I had ever set foot in a hospital together and it was for a very special moment.

9. You are looking great! Do you have any tips for keeping fit & healthy through pregnancy?

Thank you. Do what you feel you can do and make sure you enjoy it, everyone is different. I’m still playing as much tennis as I can and I still enjoy working out in the gym – I just don’t move as fast or go for everything as much!

 

10. Tell us your idea of happiness?

It’s all about spending time with my family…. and eating lots of chocolate!
