Breast cancer care is a UK-based charity, which provides support and information to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, and we are delighted to support their wonderful work.
And on Monday, Seraphine Founder & CEO Cecile Reinaud braved the freezing temperatures to spend the night sleeping outside as part of the CEO Sleepout in London.
Cecile was one of the top 3 fundraisers in the group, raising over £4000 for Shelter!
Shelter is a fantastic charity providing advice, support & legal services to people struggling with homelessness or bad housing, as well as campaigning at the government level to tackle the causes and consequences of the housing crisis.
Seraphine Founder Cécile Reinaud has spoken out in support of NCT’s #HiddenHalf Campaign, which aims to improve the 6-week postnatal check & get postnatal mental illness out of hiding.
Scroll to the end to see how you can lend your support to this great cause – it only takes a moment!
Cecile Shares Her Struggle with Postnatal Depression
Cécile was unexpectedly blindsided by postnatal depression after the birth of her first son.
Like countless other new mums, she suffered in silence and did not receive the help she needed.
Cécile says: “Postnatal mental illness cannot continue to be a taboo! Let’s talk about it.”

Cécile said: “I have suffered postnatal depression myself, and it was undoubtedly one of the hardest times of my life.”
“In my case, I think if I had received more support, it would have helped me to overcome that condition faster and with less difficulty and it wouldn’t have left such hard scars.”
Mental health problems affect at least 1 in 10 women during pregnancy or the first year after birth.
But around half of new mothers’ mental health problems don’t get picked up at all.
NCT are campaigning at the government level to get full funding for the six-week maternal postnatal check so that health professionals have the time to give all new mothers their own appointment, rather than squeezing it in with an examination of their baby.

As women, the ability to fall pregnant and have children is something many of us take for granted growing up. It is often all too easy to assume that everything will fall naturally into place when the time comes. But, as anyone who has struggled with infertility will know, things don’t always work out exactly as we’d planned. Last week, author Izzy Judd, wife of McFly drummer Harry, opened up to Lorraine about their IVF journey.
Watch Izzy Talk IVF on TV
Izzy has documented her struggle to become a mum in her new book Dare to Dream – it follows her story from infertility, through IVF and the heartbreak of miscarriage, to the joy of welcoming her healthy baby girl Lola and the miracle of conceiving baby number 2 naturally.
The book takes an open and honest look at the anxiety and loneliness that Izzy, like so many other women, felt along the way, while also sharing some of the things that helped her through the darkest moments.
“The struggle for a baby, the heartache of miscarriage and the happiness of finally falling pregnant with Lola after IVF have inspired me to share my own experiences, in the hope that they will bring comfort to those going through their own fertility struggles, and help the family & friends supporting them. My greatest wish is that, by telling my own story, I can be a companion to others and help them to feel less alone – that we are in this together.”
Prince William and Prince Harry joined together at the inaugural Diana Award ceremony to pay tribute to their late mother’s legacy and to present The Legacy Award. Read on to find out more about this amazing charity, and the beautiful baby clothes that donate 12% of their price to the cause.
As a great supporter of the charity, Seraphine founder Cecile Reinaud was delighted to attend the inspiring evening held at St James’ Palace.
She said: “I am so proud to support The Diana Award – especially on a night like tonight, when it’s clear to see the amazing good that it encourages and recognizes. We are delighted to donate 12% of all sales of our Diana Collection baby clothes to this amazing cause.”
The Diana Collection, our range of adorable baby dresses, cardigans, baby grows, accessories and baby blankets is made in the softest cotton and cashmere, and is available exclusively at Seraphine. Prices start at just £15, and 12% of each purchase is donated directly to The Diana Award. These charming baby outfits are not only cute and comfy for your little ones, but they help support a truly worthy cause!
The Diana Award is the charity set up in memory of Princess Diana, which works to keep her legacy alive by recognizing outstanding young people who are making a difference within their communities.
Prince William made a touching speech on the night, saying:
“This summer marks 20 years since our mother died. She achieved so much in her life. From helping to shatter the stigma around aids, to fighting to ban landmines and supporting the homeless — she touched the lives of millions. The truth is, though, that she was taken at only 36, just slightly older than I am today. But of course, we can never know what our mother would have gone on to do. But in one sense, Harry and I feel that our mother lives on in the countless acts of compassion and bravery that she inspires in others.”

Prince Harry echoed his brother’s sentiments, adding:
“Our mother once said that if we all play our part in making our children feel valued, the result will be tremendous. This result was tremendous.”
Ever wanted to take a look inside the wardrobes of the glamorous and famous? Well this week, Seraphine founder Cecile Reinaud was interviewed for an ITVBe documentary which offered a sneak peek inside the wardrobe of one of the biggest style icons of our time – The Duchess of Cambridge!
Watch the Video
Cecile Reinaud was interviewed alongside other celebrity stylists and royal fashion experts to give her insights for ITVBe’s exclusive new documentary, Kate’s Wardrobe Secrets.
Speaking from the Seraphine head office in Notting Hill, Cecile opened up about what it was like to dress the Duchess through her pregnancy, sharing her memories of the day that those beautiful first official pictures with Prince George were released – The Duchess smiling and looking utterly radiant in our signature knotted dress.
Here at Seraphine, we are known for dressing all the top Hollywood celebrities through their pregnancies – everyone from Gwen Stefani, Anne Hathaway and Mila Kunis to Kate Winslet, Jessica Alba and Marion Cotillard are fans of our maternity clothes. But none of these stars has anything like the same selling power as the Duchess. Cecile shares her insights as to why this might be:
“Kate is an icon – she’s almost like a myth, so everybody wants a little piece of that Princess fairy tale. By buying what she’s wearing, you get that fairy tale in your wardrobe, and I think that is why the Kate effect is so strong and unparalleled by any other celebrities.”
The Duchess of Cambridge invested in Seraphine styles several times throughout both of her pregnancies, choosing flattering summer maternity dresses while she was expecting Prince George, and classic maternity coats through her winter pregnancy with Princess Charlotte. The Marina Maternity Coat was a particular favourite of hers, which she chose for her iconic arrival in New York on the royal couple’s first official visit to the States.

Cecile shared her expert maternity fashion tips for pregnant mamas, and talks about her experience of dressing The Duchess of Cambridge along with other celebrity mamas including Marion Cotillard, Gwen Stefani & Anne Hathaway.
She also opened up about how her own two pregnancies helped her to hone her ideas for Seraphine maternity clothes. Testing out new products on herself while expecting her two boys really allowed her to focus in on the things that pregnant women are looking for in their maternity clothes: comfort, fit and fashion!
Stunning actress Sarah Roemer simply glowed this week in a full Seraphine LUXE ensemble at a glamorous LA film premier. The star looked almost ethereal in the stylish ensemble, as proud husband Chad Michael Murray laid a protective hand over her bump.
The stylish LUXE Collection ensemble works wonderfully together – each piece bringing out the best in the other. We think it would be the perfect outfit for a smart spring event or formal party.
And Sarah isn’t the only stylish celebrity mama to love our chic lace maternity dresses! Gorgeous actress & blogger Eva Amurri Martino looked equally incredible in the same style at her baby shower, before her son Major was born.
