September is here mamas! As we wave a bittersweet goodbye to summer, we are looking ahead and finding plenty of reasons to get excited about autumn. A career woman currently expecting her first baby, Victoria talks all about finding the perfect maternity clothes for the office.

From the exciting moment I discovered I was expecting a baby, I started to worry about finding stylish clothes to wear to work every day.

Maternity clothes were not something I had ever taken any notice of before, and I had no idea how poor most of the offerings on the high street were. I regularly moaned to friends about the vast oversized tent-like dresses on offer in most departments stores, which even my grandmother wouldn’t be seen dead in.

So I was delighted to finally discover Seraphine’s extensive range of classy looking maternity dresses for work – and more importantly their staple range of basics that every pregnant woman needs.

I’ve been living in a pair of smart black, over the bump maternity trousers that dress up really well for work with a smart shirt, or equally on a weekend with a t shirt. I don’t know what I’d do without them because they’re so comfortable, they really have been a life saver.

The various types of maternity jeans on offer also cater for every taste if you’re a skinny girl or a regular bootcut, and i tend to find unlike some others i bought from another store – they actually stay up rather than falling down over the bump all the time.

I’m now looking forward to trying out the range of nursing tops and lingerie the shop has to offer for the next stage of my journey.

A Royal Invitation: When Seraphine Founder Cecile met the Queen

Here at Seraphine we love the Royal Family. So we are thrilled and deeply honoured to share with you, that this week Seraphine founder Cecile Reinaud was invited to Buckingham Palace to meet The Queen and Prince Philip.

The invitation was extended by royal decree in celebration of Seraphine’s acceptance of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2015.

This is a prize that has been awarded in recognition of our outstanding achievements in international trade over the past 3 years. We are proud to ship our stylish maternity clothes internationally to over 30 countries, and to work with distributors worldwide including big names such as Nordstrom and A Pea in the Pod. The stars flocked to the flagship Seraphine maternity store this week to help us celebrate the move to our brand new location at 179 High Street Kensington!

We welcomed a truly glamorous crowd to the event, including celebrities, local mums-to-be and the lovely ladies and gents of the press. We were particularly pleased to be joined by chart topping singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, British beauty & big sis extraordinaire Chloe Delevingne, former tennis champ Anne Keothavong and Gosford Park actress Camilla Rutherford – all looking stunning in their favourite Seraphine maternity dresses!
